The Ormondwick Alabaster Wall Sconce is a candlestick fixed to the wall. with a ball of stone where the flame would be. The stem is turned brass — a cup under the globe. a knurled ring at the middle. a bulbous lower section. and a ball finial at the foot — set on a short arm from a round brass backplate. The globe is Spanish alabaster. so when the bulb is on. its white ground and thin amber veins glow across the whole sphere.
